This Giving Tuesday, Turn Up the Joy
Your Generosity Powers our Programs
Adults with Down syndrome deserve vibrant social lives long after high school ends. Your Giving Tuesday gift helps Turn Down For What NYC host monthly pop-ups, special events, and overnight trips where friendships, independence, and FUN come first.

Why Giving Tuesday Matters for Our Community
In New York City, there are endless things to do—but for many adults with Down syndrome, those experiences aren’t always designed with them in mind.

Turn Down For What NYC is changing that.

We’re a social club for adults with Down syndrome, established in 2022. We host monthly pop-ups, special events, and overnight weekend trips where our participants can:
-
See friends regularly and build real community
-
Explore the city—restaurants, shows, and activities—without worrying about logistics
-
Practice independence in a safe, supported environment
-
Be fully themselves, celebrated and included
On Giving Tuesday, your donation directly fuels these experiences. You’re not just giving money—you’re giving nights out, weekend getaways, and memories that last.

Your generosity powers our programs
Here’s how your generosity powers our programs:

$25
helps cover supplies for a themed activity at a monthly pop-up (think arts & crafts, karaoke, or game night).

$250
sponsors a core activity during an Overnight Weekend Program, such as a themed night or our cocktail/mocktail bar.

$50
supports transportation and accessibility needs so participants can safely join events across the city.

$500
helps cover a group dinner during an Overnight Weekend Program—one of our favorite times for everyone to connect over a shared meal.

$100
contributes to tickets for a special NYC outing—like a concert, museum, or live show.

$750+
contributes to scholarships and housing costs so participants can attend weekend trips without financial barriers.
You can give any amount that feels right. Every dollar keeps our events welcoming, affordable, and full of good vibes.
