Our overnight trips (21+) are all about building connections. They're low-key and drama-free.
We'll stay in some awesome places and do everything together including cooking, leading workshops, participating in activities, and relaxing. Don't worry, we'll also order have tournaments, dance the night away at a cocktail party, and hand out our highly-coveted "Paper Plate" awards.

You'll feel empowered as you flex life skills like independence, wellness, creativity, and problem-solving while meeting your new besties.

What's the Vibe?
Socialization & Recreation
We're here to curate lasting friendship vibes! Our activities are less structured to encourage organic fun and memories. We look to our participants to help lead activities they are passionate about. Think karaoke, dance parties, movie nights, games, and more. We also love wine tasting, kayaking, hiking, and playing backyard games. So come as you are, and you do you - just don't forget to bring your dancing shoes!

Balance & Wellness
We love balance. We're all about moving our bodies and mindful eating. We love a low impact wellness moment like hot girl nature walks, meditation, chair works outs, aerobics, yoga, and more. We'll have discussions on nutrition, fitness and mindfulness.

Giving Back
This summer, we'll be swagging out onesies for babies with Down Syndrome. We'll spread some love one onesie at a time!
​
Fostering Friendships
We're on a mission to go from groups of volunteer mentors + participants - to real, genuine friends. We're talking about friend groups so tight, we'll be invited to all the birthday parties and family dinners. The fun friendships go much farther than an event or weekend program.

How do I apply & what are the key deadlines?

1. The online application opens on Friday, January 9th, 2026.

2. Complete our online application by Friday, February 27th, 2026.​
​
3. Acceptance emails, including medical forms, will be sent out on Friday, March 13th, 2026.
​
4. Register and pay for your Friends Trip by Thursday, April 30th, 2026 to secure your spot. Any Friends Trip spot not paid by this deadline will be opened up to our waiting list.​​
​
​5. All medical forms are due by Friday, June 12th, 2026 to secure your spot. Anyone with Friends Trip forms not submitted by this deadline will receive a refund and the spot will be opened up to our waiting list.​
​
Volunteer applications are accepted and responded to on a rolling basis.
FAQs
What happens if I don't get accepted?
We hate this. Due to the volume of applications we will not be able to accept everyone who applies. If you are not accepted you'll be placed on our waiting list.

How much do Friends Trips cost and are they covered by waiver?
We're sorry, Friends Trips are not covered by waiver. ​The cost for 2026 is $825 and includes all accommodations, meals, activities, and more.

What is included on a Friends Trip?
Our Friends Trips are all inclusive! Meals, snacks, beverages, and activities are included once you arrive. During the Friends Trip, you'll have 24/7 access to our team of experienced volunteers and medical staff. You'll leaving repping TDFW with a custom t-shirt!

I'm a chronic over-packer, what do I need to bring?
We got you covered! We'll send out packing lists specific to each Friends Trip. Plan on the essentials like casual clothes, athleisure apparel if you want to change for wellness, a swim suit (and sunscreen!), linens (bedding, towel, and a pillow), toiletries, and a fancy outfit for our cocktail party. Don't forget any medications you might need during the trip. Please note that all medications must be given to our medical staff upon arrival.​
